StreamAssistant Camera turns an iPhone or Android phone into a wireless camera source for OBS Studio. It runs in the phone's browser, so there is no phone app to install.

Instructions:

1) Install the plugin from the github repo. Please note the macOS specific instructions on the repos README.md as the installer is not signed.

2) Add a StreamAssistant Camera source

3) Follow the on screen instructions that open in your web browser to connect your device's camera.

That's it! I have tested this on a variety of Android and iOS devices but please include your mobile OS and device name in any issue reports on github so I can investigate if things are not working as expected.

Disclaimer: AI tooling (Codex) was used to help write the OBS plugin itself as my C skills are not so great. The bulk of this project including the browser interface and signaling service live on streamassistant.app which consists of typescript, react, as well as javascript running as a cloudflare worker. The latter still involved AI tooling in development/testing but much less.
